Since 1970, The Semantics has been helping people in need. Founded by a group of businessmen from the John F. Kennedy International Airport community, this charitable organization has expanded its good works throughout the New York Metropolitan area. The Semantics has also assisted charities throughout the country and overseas. Membership is nationwide.
The principal goal of The Semantics is “Benevolence to Those Less Fortunate.” Membership includes principals, managers, and employees of customs brokers, freight forwarders, airline personnel, truckers, cargo container stations, U.S. Customs & Border Protection employees, insurance agents, printers, industrial machinery and food suppliers, florists, lawyers, etc. The Semantics has raised tens of thousands of dollars annually for people in need.
The Semantics operates all year round and relies solely on our volunteer members to accomplish our mission. There are no paid employees, and that allows that 100% of all profits derived from donations and fundraising efforts go directly to those less fortunate.
