If you have been dreaming of spending a few days in this Himalayan nation, gazing at the snow-clad peaks, gorging on delicious momos, and volunteering for a meaningful cause, serving the Nepalese society, then now is the time to plan and make things work.

After two years of nearly zero tourist arrivals,  Nepal is all set to welcome international travelers again after the government introduced a revised immigration entry protocol.

Travel Protocols & Visa for Nepal:

Fully vaccinated travelers, with the second dose 14 days before the date of travel, will no longer have to quarantine after landing in Kathmandu and can get visas on arrival. Earlier, they had to get visas from Nepal’s missions abroad and quarantine for seven days at a hotel in Kathmandu at their own expense.

Partially vaccinated and unvaccinated visitors will have to obtain visas from Nepal’s embassies in their home countries or elsewhere, and will still have to spend 10 days in a government-approved hotel in Kathmandu and get a PCR negative test before they go out and about.

However, all visitors, including fully vaccinated ones will have to present a negative PCR or other test report done not longer than 72 hours before their flight. Make sure to bring a printout of the international arrival form at www.ccmc.gov.np to immigration for visa on arrival.

Volunteering programs in Nepal are available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Volunteering Solutions, in association with local organizations, is aiming to support a huge section of people living below poverty lines. Hence, there’s an ardent need for volunteers in the country, to make a difference. We have a wide range of volunteer opportunities, ranging from Childcare, Teaching English, Dental Elective, Medical Internships at the local hospital, Short-Term Projects, & more. Nepal is a perfect volunteering destination for students, solo travelers, and backpackers as it has been marked as ‘The most budget-friendly destination’ by Lonely Planet.

If you’ve been wondering where to travel in the post-pandemic times, then join us in this journey and volunteer in Nepal, while living in the lap of the Himalayas and explore the hidden mountain trails as well.

Volunteer in Kathmandu:

Currently, a diverse range of volunteering programs are available in Kathmandu. Depending on your interests and preferences, you can either opt to volunteer with children at a childcare center or teach the kids in an underprivileged school. If you are a pre-med/medical student, then you can join the internship program and work with professional doctors at a local hospital or clinic. Those who are keen to assist the Nepali women in learning how to use the computers, provide vocational training, etc., can be a part of the women empowerment program and ensuring that they are financially independent.

Apart from these, we have also curated a Special 1 Week Program, a 2 Weeks Special Voluntour as well as Summer Volunteering Program 2022 – these are meant for all those travelers who are keen to contribute to a meaningful program, as well as travel to explore the country to the fullest.

Volunteer in Pokhara:

As of now, we have two incredibly meaningful volunteer opportunities in Pokhara. You can be a teacher at a local school, teaching kids and young adults. Being a part of the medical internship, you’ll get the opportunity to work as an intern under professionals in a medical clinic/hospital and get a practical experience of the healthcare scenario in Pokhara.
